Australia 2008- Arrival in Sydneyhttp://ddekruijff.nl/content/2012/06/Arrival-in-Sydney
A short flight after our stopover in Hong Kong brought us to Sydney. At the airport we rented a Toyota Camry and we headed for the city center. Driving left was not an issue anymore, but it was getting dark and in the downtown area a lot of roads were closed down due to the Pope's visit for World's Youth Day. We couldn't have picked a better day (NOT). It took us over a hour to get to the parking garage near our hotel!

The next morning we started sightseeing. First the Sky Tower and then on to the Opera House. We spent the afternoon at Darling Harbour which is a good place to find restaurants and bars. This is where we ate Kangaroo meat for the first time and it was delicious, even better it is the best meat I have ever eaten.

The day after we visited the wildlife and reptile zoo to get a view of what we could encouter during the trip. It was amazing to see Koalas, Walibi and a lot more on our third day. Also good to see that the most venomous animals live in Australia :)
